DHPC/CSC Joint First Aid Course - Jan 2018
In cooperation with the CSC we have organised a "first aid for pilots" day in Jan 2018. Pete Cunningham (pilot and first aid instructor) and Dave Weeks (paramedic) will take you through how to deal with typical paragliding injuries, how to manage a scene, & dealing with the emergency services. A full day with practical hands-on exercises exploring issues such as whether to move a casualty, and how to do it.

Cost:£15 For members of CSC and DHPC only. (Joint course with CSC),

For those that need it, there is also the option of a second day, which will cover everything you need for a First Aid "ticket"

Directions and instructions
The course commences at 9.30am. If you experience a hold up en-route, you can telephone the flying centre on: 07980 743864 to inform us.
Parking
There is no designated parking area at the flying centre. Please do not park in the pub car park. Please do not park in front of the big building on the other side of us. There is quite a lot of space down the road directly opposite the pub. Please car share where possible.
Clothing: Wrap up, as we may well go outside, we can provide a helmet and harness for real life drama!
First Aid kit: Might be worth bringing yours to see what you have inside and whether its useful or not.
Coffee and biscuits provided, but please bring your own mug. Sandwiches etc can be bought in the village (10 mins walk), or bring your own pack up.
