The 5th edition of the X Dales Hike and Fly Challenge and Dales Fly In social week end are set for the 5th- 7th Sept, in Settle, Yorkshire.  The formats will build on last year’s much enjoyed event with the serious but fun H&F competition run by Ed Cleasby (https://www.xcflight.com/x-dales-24-challenge/) sharing the venue with the serious but fun socialising and free flying event run by the Dales Club.

The X Dales H&F element is open to all, those less experienced who want to have a go at this developing discipline, up to experienced hard core racers.  The format will be announced soon and build on experience and recommendations from last year's entrants.

The Fly In social, is also open to all comers and aims to provide late summer flying in the spectacular Yorkshire Dales, with daily recommendations on best sites based on forecasts, and informal tasks set, weather permitting. With plenty to do if it isn’t flyable, and plenty of socialising to be had round the camp fire, even your non flying partner will be happy!  Discounted early bird tickets will be available soon on Eventbrite.

Note: X Dales entrants will need  to enter the Fly In as well if they intend to stay at the campsite.
